As a result of this conference I will......
- I have taken back so many new and exciting ideas to integrate into my classroom
- Expanding on young authoring in my program
- Modifying how I teach sight words
- Enjoy and introduce new books from the library

- Smart board session-very resourceful
- Aboriginal session-nice substitute
The facilities and food were....
- Very good and just right. Loved the green bins.
- Great!!
- Very good, very organized.
- Great-would help if food was labelled
- Food was healthy and tasty. Bathrooms were a mess.
- Okay-crowded in cafeteria at lunch
- Very good
- Facility was very clean. Could have used more veggies and cheese.
- Good but I was disappointed to see plastic water bottles in our bags. The water idea was great but would have preferred reusable water container-more appropriate.
- Not enough food available-could have something other than sandwiches for the main food item
What other topics would you like included in next year’s Conference?
- Literacy with diverse families –strategies
- Link between numeracy and literacy for young learners
- Oral storytelling with parents and children
- Critical literacy and critical thinking
- Art & literacy for young children
- Perhaps more ‘make and take’ workshops because they are so popular and fill up quickly
- Balanced literacy block and Math work stations
- Handwriting
- Differences between genders and learning
- Jolly phonics, Using drama with language

- ‘I See What You Mean’: practical, super ideas
- Both ‘Readers and Writers’ Workshops: interactive and engaging
- ‘Centres for the Junior Teacher’: as a new teacher, I found it hard to implement and offer a variety of centres, this workshop offered ways to do both.
- ‘Writing Rocks’: enthusiastic speaker, Intermediate Grades focus
- ‘Non-Fiction Writing’: excellent speaker, will implement the ideas and strategies presented
The facilities and food were....
- Great! Healthy food choices too!
- Excellent on both counts. Bravo!
- Workshop rooms clean and bright.
- Lunch was great.
- Appreciated that vegetarian choices were labelled
